Reflexology - What is it?
Reflexology is a relaxing, holistic therapy based on the principle that there are many 'reflex' points or zones on the soles, tops and sides of the feet and hands which are connected to corresponding areas throughout the body. When pressure is applied
to these reflex zones on the feet, the body’s own mechanism to heal itself is stimulated. Through the feet and or hands the aim is to treat the whole person – body, mind and spirit - to bring about a state of harmony and balance. More and more people are now beginning to see the major benefits that Reflexology can bring and some of these are listed below:-

The Benefits
  • Reducing stress and tension and providing feelings of deep relaxation
  • More efficient removal of impurities and toxins
  • Increased energy levels
  • Improved circulation
  • A stronger immune system
  • The release of endorphins, the body's feel-good hormones, which can also provide pain relief
  • A sense that the whole body is better balanced and in harmony, which enables self-healing to take place

In addition. Reflexology is known to help alleviate disorders and some of these are listed below:-

Arthritis Sinusitis Indigestion
Bowel disorders Diabetes Infertility
Asthma  Depression  Skin problems
Hay Fever Headaches & migraines Back problems

Is Reflexology Suitable For Everyone?
Everyone - young and old - can enjoy the benefits of reflexology because it is a non-invasive, gentle therapy.

I believe that in this day and age of busyness, increased noise levels and the general chaos that seems to be everyday living, it is VITAL to take time out for yourself.

What Happens During Reflexology Treatment?
After an initial consultation, a reflexology treatment usually lasts for about an hour. As it is only the feet that is being worked on,  just socks and shoes need to be removed.

In order to get maximum benefit from a treatment, it is best to try to rest for a short while afterwards and to drink plenty of water.

I offer a friendly, caring. professional service in the comfort of your own home.
